Golf ball fitter for on-course testing

Find the right golf ball for your swing.

Choose one swing speed or driver distance input, a primary goal, and a feel preference. Optional details cover your current ball, iron and wedge distances, flight, spin, conditions, and budget. The fitter returns three golf balls to compare.

Find my ball

Build your three strong options.

Enter a measured driver speed when you know it. Otherwise, a typical driver distance gives the fitter a broad starting range.

01 / Your swing speed

Enter one valid speed or distance. If you enter both, swing speed sets the range.

02 / What should the ball help you test?

How the fitter works

How your answers shape the shortlist.

Swing speed sets a broad starting range. Compression is weighted when comparable current evidence exists, alongside cover, construction, spin, published flight behavior, feel, conditions, and budget; unverified compression remains neutral.

01

Start broad, not absolute

Measured speed leads; driver distance supplies a wider estimate. Compression can affect feel and response, but it is not a hard swing-speed gate.

02

Compare the whole ball

Urethane and ionomer-style cover differences can inform feel and short-game behavior. Layers and construction matter as a system, not as isolated claims.

03

Use flight evidence, then test

Dimple count alone is not scored. Published aerodynamic or flight behavior can inform flight fit, then three candidates make the fit easier to compare on the course.

What your results mean

Use the results as a simple shortlist.

The order helps you choose golf balls to test against your current ball. Your shots on the course determine which ball works for you.

Use the on-course test plan
  1. Keep your current ball as the controlCompare launch, feel, rollout, and playable dispersion rather than one standout shot.
  2. Test from green to teeShort shots expose feel and rollout before full swings add speed and curvature.
  3. Buy after a retestUse the two finalists again in normal conditions before committing to a larger quantity.
Common questions

Before you choose a golf ball.

Do I need to know my driver swing speed?

No. A typical driver carry or total distance creates a broad speed range. Measured speed is more precise, but either input is enough to start.

Is compression matched directly to swing speed?

No. Compression is one useful factor when comparable current evidence exists. It can influence feel and response, but cover, construction, spin, flight, conditions, and your own comparison still matter.

Why does the fitter return exactly three golf balls?

Three is enough contrast for a useful comparison without turning the process into a long trial. Each result includes reasons and tradeoffs to watch.

Can a golf ball fix a slice or hook?

No. Face angle, club path, strike, loft, and club fit still control delivery. Ball flight and spin are test variables, not swing fixes.

How should I compare my matches?

Start around the green, move to wedges and irons, then finish with the driver. Keep your current ball in the rotation and retest the two finalists.
